Well does anyone know how to uh get the coolant port BIG banjo bolt out? I was going to replace it but I ended up breaking it!! Now how the hell would one go about getting the rest of the shit out???

btw half of it is out(broken in half) Now I got just 2 small pieces of material(what use to be) Think an easy out will get it? The damn thing was in there pretty tight!

you mean the one that holds one of the coolant feed line taps onto the thermostat housing?

Goto your parts store ask for an easy out, take the easy out. hammer/drill it into the broken bolt and back it out. They are reverse threaded.

1yr lead time!!! Aint gonna wait that long. Been 4 months and he still hasnt gotten to my timing cover!!!

Thats what we get when we try to fix things shit. Might as well left it alone and sell the car to someone else and let it rot out over time. damn age!

I have a spare pretty bare head if you need it. It's doing a great job holding down the concrete in my garage if you want it...

it isnt finding a head thats the problem. I got a spare bare head. Its the fact that i dont have time to wait on the machine shops 1 year lead time to rebuild another since this one was rebuilt nor the extra cash to throw at just the head.. not another 850!

I come from a land down under
Justin: Been there done that didn't get a T Shirt!

I bought a variation of an easy out it's a Tapered Square about 1/2" thick that you bang in with a hammer then turn it with a wrench.

I pulled my motor to do it thinking no way could I get it out and this tool did it easily!

That piece has broken on us several times. We replace those fittings and gaskets on every engine we do with new Toyota parts. I usually have the machine shop take it out because they have tricks to do it easy. I have been thinking about getting a big tap for it though because even when the fitting comes out sometimes the threads are messed up. Between that and the exhaust studs that 7m head can be a real pain in the ass.
