You could move up here. I'll start you out at $10 and if your not late, and have a good attitude I'll bump you up to $11 in 30 days.

Any suggestions where to look?

If I were you, I would mow yards around the neighborhood. $15 per yard per week. Get 6 or 7 of them and mow them once per week. 6 yards X $15ea. = $90 per week. X 4 weeks = an extra $360 per month. Get a monkey (friend) and pay him $10 per hour. With the extra help, you could double your yards, and your money.

Sorry to thread hijack.

Cart pushing at Wal-Mart was the freakin shizz...

Get paid to walk around the lot talking to friends and stuff... Although at 22 I'd hope that you'd take it a bit more serious than I did at 16.

I think I was making $14.00 working for BCR/Providian as a collections agent when I was fifteen...There are many options for a high school kid besides just retail. Look around at local businesses in general and you might get lucky. Try a temp agency, I worked at ProStaff my senior year and started at I wanna say $11.00. Plus if you do well many businesses that you temp for will offer you jobs. I got a salary job at Supervalu HQ in an office position this way at the end of my senior year.

There's actually a ton of options for high school kids, just gotta look outside the norm.

Target is the way to go. They treated me like a person, paid better, and were wiling to work w/ my school schedule. I tried going back for a part time job during the holidays for extra cash... but now they wont hire me. I have no idea why... :sarcasm:

dont forget, theres still lots of blue-collar and civil service union jobs out there. seattle litterally cant hire enough police, and im sure its not the only city with a shortage. ive heard that most get weeded out during the background check.
ive personally been driving busses for metro for the past 8 years. starts at 17.74/hr. end up taking alot of shit from people but other than that a pretty decent job, good benifits. need to be 21 and have a "responsible driving record" which im sure only a few here have.:icon_roll
