Well, I just got it handed to me...

I took the car out and this evo wanted to go. I asked if we could go from a roll and he declined. I should've then declined to go from a dig; but, oh well.

So we take off and I got a really good launch. I shifted to second and blew by him and he faded into the blackness after I hit third. We meet up and he said that he missed second and third so he wanted to go again.

The second run he immediately took 1.5 cars from me; but, didn't get anything more. We met up after the run and he said that his car dyno'd 320hp. My clutch started slipping on the second run. So bad in fact that smoke was coming out from underneath my hood!

I think he might have only gotten about a half a car if we would've gone from a roll.

So............I got beat by an evo. Sigh...............

Not that my car is something great; but, there isn't much competition out this way so it's nice to run something turbo'd that's tuned. He's from out of town. He came down for his sister's wedding.

It was fun.

Was really waiting to see how everything turned out. Not bad with a slipping clutch. How did you do with that NSX? I played just a little bit with one in the 2jz car. They are beautiful.

Jay I think now that you have that launch down you would be fine.

Didn't get to run him. I didn't even get to drive my car on the cruise because it started missing badly while out on lunch. I thought I pinned it to being the CPS. I switched it out yesterday, took it for a cruise, and that's when I ran into that evo.

I did ride in the NSX on the cruise though. It's pretty fast; but, I think my car has a little more grunt. That thing has crazy rpm range! We were doing ~90 and he down shifted into third!

It was fun. I work with the guy so we'll have another opportunity. :naughty:

ok would say thats pretty good i ran a evo on the highway and we were pretty even. i think that every one here can agree the fact that our cars are about 20 years old the fact that we can even keep up with the new technology is amazing. and i love telling people i drive a supra

Sounds like a fun group you have there. When you talk about the rpm range it reminds me of the amuse supra vs the skyline vid. That skyline engine was rev happy.:aigo: On the road race there was a Evo behind me I though he would be able to take me through the turns but every straight I pulled enough so he never had a chance. Get that clutch fixed.

Yeah, at my job there is a TSI DSM, Turbo'd Forester, NSX, S2000, 1999 Vette, and my Supra. Most of them are black so when we all park together it looks SUUUUWEEEET!!

About 6 months ago, there was this red evo who's plate read 'VRTIGO_1'. I ran him from a 10 roll and just whooped him. I even had my A/C on! He said that all he had was an intake and exhaust.

Yep, new clutch coming. I'm going to run the StageII Pressure Plate with a 6 Puck Disk.
