Welding Rear Subframe

Other than the area around the front diff nose, any other areas that should be welded up for durability?

Mine isn't cracked yet, but I'm setting it up to have it ass kicked in the future without cracking.

If anyone had pics that would be sweet/

Heres a shot of mine a laminated the nose part and put gussets on the main large opening and put cross bars on it I also stitch welded all existing partial welds I also filled the six rubber mounts with windshield glue while you are at it weld the backs of the camber/caster adjustment backings they tend to bend out

that's good.

i added reinforcement on the rear diff mounts as well.....but the nose is where it's needed most.

or make diff griddle i made one and sold befor i choudl snap a pic

I added in some gussets at the corners of the open areas.

And a brace across the Upper Rear diff mounts.

What are you guys using to cover them after welding? Are you just painting or powdercoating or anything else special? I have removed mine but wasnt going to weld anything because there were no cracks. I guess I will be adding the support that were mentioned in this thread.

I had mine shot blasted then 2 pak over the top.

2 pak being Australian for base/clear (Translation :0)

I'm going with black rubberized undercoating in a can or lime green paint
