So i went out to my car this morning, went to start it, and i got a few fires, and then it died. Tried it again, and same thing. I cracked open the throttle a little bit and got it to run, but it would not idle worth a crap.. Checked codes and got code 43..

I drove it to the shop, where i have all my tools. decided to clear the codes to see if it would re appear. Pulled the neg. terminal on the battery, let it sit for awhile, and re connected it. I started it, and it started just fine, (granted, it wasnt completely cold, it was maybe an 1/8th of an inch up on the coolant temp gauge) and then it got down to idle, where it started loping like it had huge cams... I checked the codes again, and got nothing.. Im starting to think its just the cold start injector malfunctioning. Any ideas?

Cold start injector ONLY work during cranking, it just supplies a little extra bit of fuel to help start up. Once you let go of the key, the injector stops spraying. Idling rough after starting won't be an issue with the CSI.

Did any codes come back after you reset the ECU?

After you turn the engine off, do you hear the ISCV (idle speed control valve) click a few times?

I think the STA pin was loose at the ECU, because after putting a paperclip in to get a voltage reading, all was well. Granted, it still didnt run right at idle, but i fixed that as well.

It was a loose connection at the AFM... *facepalm*
