HI

I know the idle issue is big and I have been searching in the forum with no luck:-(

When the car is cold and I start it idles at 1300 and then slowly falling to 500 and then it makes a jumping motion between 500 and 600 rpms???

If I dont do anything it dies and if I start driving before the car is warm it will die the first time I come to a holdt and use the clutch???

For now im ussing the gas pedal to keep the car running and there is no prob. when its varm:)

timing is 10bdc
new plugs
no codes

sorry for the long post but its driving me crazy:-(

thanks for any thougths
Marlon

Ok...I was hoping for an easy fix. Those are good plugs and wires...actually I was thinking about the connection to the plugs.

First check your timing as shown in the TRSM:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=IG&Page=20

Next take a look at the TPS:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FI&Page=101

The IDL contact in the TPS must be closed for the idle speed system to operate.

To take a look at the ISC valve...take a look at the TRSM on this page:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=FI&Page=106

Inspect the ISC per what this says. One additional thing...when you shut the car off, the ISC should go full open. Unplug it after shut down and re-start the car...the idle should be high.

This should keep you busy for a bit ;)
