Weird Code 52

Hello all,
I have a weird knock senosr problem. I have been reading through all the posts over the last couple of days on knock sensors and can not find anything similar to mine. Most of you guys who have had or do have this code 52 problem only get it when you have been driving for a while or the engine gets hot or whatever. My problem is that mine comes on all the time and as soon as I go over 3 grand. I am in the process of doing the rewire but need to know if I am wasting time or if this is actually a sensor since its so frequent. Also is the sensor towrds the front of the engine the number one or two sensor. One more thing would the fact that I tapped into the knock sensor wiring for my Apexi AFC2 have anything to do with it.

Could be the sensor, could be the wiring. Your symptoms still match either condition, but 99% of the time the fault is in the wiring. The AFC2 install could also be causing the code, it depends on where and how well you tapped. Personally I know the ECU is picky about knock sensors so I'd be hesitant to tap into the knock sensor wiring.

Thats what I was going to say about the afc too but i thought you had to have it in there
