I found a site listing specs including dimensions. The non R spec was 1550 kg, with the A342.

What is the R version?

Using the formula to calculate horsepower, since it is calculated, and not measured anyway, your cars are overrated on power.

It comes out to 269, not 270.

Has anybody put it on the scale?

Ok, so your car is overated by 11 hp, not one. ;) You know I am just BS'ing you about the power right?

Joe, google it. Horespower is how fast work is being done. So it is a mathematical formula that the NHRA uses to calculate those 7000 hp machines.

Or hit one of the many online sites that do it.

The weight I listed plus an...arbitrary trap speed. I have seen pretty consistent low 14 times for stock, but more imporantly, 96-99 mph. So I called it 98.

I thought you knew horsepower, but the retards here might not know.

i tried a dif site, using 3350lbs, a 13.7 1/4 mile and 98mph trap speed, it gave me 246whp, IIRC, that is what a stock 1jz will dyno around.

recaro R edition also came with clutch type LSD vs. viscous LSD.
No, the R model, like all Japanese turbo Supras, came with a 4.10 torsen rear end.

As for the sway bars, they ARE beefier then stock ones, IIRC they're the same as the Turbo A bars. I'm not sure if they're solid, but I use mine as a jacking point, and it hasn't kinked.

wow, that's odd. I guess I got lucky then since my recaro R came with a clutch type diff ( after I wrecked it I pulled the diff out...definitely clutch type) yet the car was so stock it still had the stock air box when I bought it.

It doesn't matter what site it is, James Watt's formula doesn't change.

246 to the tires was the estimate, 269 total. Try 14.3 or 14.2 stock. 13.7 is a one off ringer with slicks, and not normal.

At SILV, they didn't do 246, they were doing 225, with the top one at just over 300 with a single turbo upgrade.
