I have heard alot that our cars are fat. What has everyone done to change that? There are several "standard" things to do like sound deadning removeal and what not. Just curious what is out there for a diet.:icon_conf

It depends on what you want.If you want a ready-to-race stripped Supra, take off anything that might weigh you down. But if you want it to be a DD,you might want to keep essential devices like A/C,power steering and some sound deadening. Fact is the Supra is fat pig,a FAST fat pig,but one nonetheless. Here is what i've done so far.
1. lighter seats
2. non-full size spare
3. lighter wheels
4. added hp
5. lightened hood
6. helium in tires
7. rocket fuel

I need to remove the a/c components and parts from the power steering b/c neither of them work or are functional. Sound deadning can go but this is a daily driver and I need a back seat for my daughter on occasion.

That stuff is on the chopping block. I guess my concern was more to the front b/c the way I understand it these cars are VERY front heavy

I'm pretty sure the problem is the cast iron straight 6 in the front if some one would just produce a aftermarket aluminum 7m block that we would be golden but i doght that will ever happen and I might be wrong here but wouldn't keeping the spare and doing things like relocating the battery to the back help with traction because of the extra weight in the rear.

HA!

You n00bs are forgetting the coolest thing!

Get a HARDTOP. :D:D:D

I, with no rear interior, rhinolined rear, 30lbs worth of tools/junk in the back, sound-deadening still there, full interior up front and big heavy 18" wheels...weighed in at 3,328lbs. :)

I loooooooove it. ;)
