A gear dependent boost controller. low boost for the first couple of gears then high boost for the last gears. progressive boost as we row the gears. who can make this happen? i bet we could get a group buy.

IIRC, my Apex'i AVC-R does this. I only run 12psi on a CT26, so it's a feature I do not use.

Plenty of electronic boost controllers do this, do some research.

I do this with my Blitz SBC-ID and Power meter, works great.

IIRC the new Blitz SBC-ID Color has both the power meter and the boost controller in 1 unit.

The AVC-R does offer this. It offers a lot of things that I haven't figured out yet. You can even adjust the boost for rpms. Lower boost in lower rpms to keep from spinning and then higher boost for around 3600-7500rpm.........or however you decide to do it.

Maybe sometime in the near future someone will develope a way to regulate fuel pressure.......;)

I bet 98% of the cars on this board do not need this. If you're spinning the tires sub 450whp in 1st and 2nd gear get better tires. When you're making that much power a standalone is a good idea and some have boost control based on that built in (VS speed or gear)

heh i have a hard enough time keeping the rear tires from spining on stock boost with 275s. just try turning and putting power down. however this would not help me since im only in 2nd gear anyway for autocross and I dont have wheel spin issues on road courses

qft. going from my stock wheels to some nice wide 9.5in rears helped alot with traction. second the easiest way to keep boost controllable in the lower rpms if its really needed is use your foot. running 18+ psi on my jt61gt has never been a problem....

HKS EVC-VI can control boost pressure based on speed input (amongst a million other things)

I run a 4.30 rear-end in my Supra, making close to 500whp. There aren't a lot of other tire options for me other than full-on drag slicks.

But more boost and wheel spin > less power any day :)
