And I kinda figured I needed a new one because of me being me while pulling it off! But I found this on ebay and was wondering if it was a good idea!

Dude if you want a used non hydrofan front, $15 will get you a 30k mile OEM 1JZGTE Soarer pump (same as mkiv 2jzgte in the link) on your front door from me.

Or you can just go buy a new one for $46

I don't think that was pulled from a 2J turbo motor. The ones I've seen have a metal impeller not plastic. Soarer 1JZ pumps were clutch fan and had plastic impellers.

you can buy a 2jz water pump and either use electric fans or clutch fan, direct conversion. No fabricating, just make sure to get the upper and lower part of the water pump. I am using that on my 1j alone with electric fans and haven't had any problems as yet. I would also recommend changing your timing belt as you are in there and checking the whole timing belt tensioner, or if you want the hydro fans you can get a new water pump from champion toyota, thats the only place i know of that sells stock 1jz parts from the manufacturer, if you have any questions pm me.
