So here in washington it kinda likes to flash flood... so last night the roads were kinda flooded and i had to get home. When I was driving the main road ahead of me looked like it had maybe 6in of standing water... well i was wrong, there was about 2 feet and the supra took on some water especially into the intake (ram air unprotected).

When i was going through it i was doing what anybody else would do when 2 feet of water was around you... screamin "oh shit" ... so mental note dont pull a dumb ass move like i did and try to guess a flooded roads depth....

So i took my hydrolocked supra to my local performance shop and he said that my engine was toast... its a non turbo and this is going to be my second motor swap but this time i wanted to go turbo just gte engine, wire harness and turbo ecu right? thanks

It's got to be easier than the 1jz swap, so I would say it's well worth the time and effort it will take you. You can do a search on here and find all of the answers you need..............lol

If you get the harness/ecu, it'll be just like putting the NA engine back in... but with a little extra weight on the exhaust side. :icon_bigg

If you need help, feel free to PM me, done it a few times.

Your tach wont work... thats the biggest PITA.

If the tach is the only thing he's got to worry about then he's got it made.

What's up Matt?

^ same ole shizzle. Just out being my normal non-arsehole self. :icon_bigg

Seriosuly though, swapping 7mgte into an NA chasis is a BREEZE. Hell, I've done it twice. Thats saying a lot. :icon_bigg

why not just put a v8 in it. This is being done with the 305 gm block. I have driven turbo charged 4 cylinders and ya they run fine. But I would rather go with the 7mge than the 1jz. But that is just my preferrance.

^ I'd go 350 if I was doing all the effort. You can rebuild that mo-fo for next to nothing too! $300 would get you brand new everything just about.
