Supra is not registered so I haven't driven it much. But, I start it up and let it warm up every weekend. Starts right up, idles fine, runs fine, no codes. Timing perfect.

After each warmup I get this puddle of water. There is no oil, its not coolant (doesn't have any color and doesn't smell sweet). No oil in coolant, no coolant in oil. Brand new engine. Engine does not overheat. No symptoms of a blown head gasket at all.

The black stuff is carbon from the exhaust or something, but it is NOT oil.

After about an hour, it dries up and dissapears. Could this just be condensation? If so, doesn't this seem excessive?

Whaddya think?

condensation, the stuff that corrodes out your exhaust with "short-trip"
driving(also the reason that stainless steel is the way to go)

I should take pictures of the marks my exhuast leaves while i start my car up every morning/night....the condensation flys out with the carbon and leaves these huge "streak" marks.....really funny looking.

condesation is part of it. BUt the majority is from the catalytic convertor doing its job ;)

By products from Catalyst is Co2 and H2O. Yes you read right. H2O or water ;)

Yep, that happened to me too. I was working on my car, then it was put together, I started it up and later noticed a pool of water. Now my friend always has coffee with him in the morning. At first I thought he spilled it on the ground and thought to myself, "what a slob" heheh He asked me why there was water on the ground and I told him what I thought (that he spilled it). It was a surprise for me to find out it was all out of my car.

Just as glntom mentioned, that happens from many repeated short trips. The exhaust never gets hot enough to vaporize the water so it collects after the cat.

Also as figgie mentioned, it is from the cat doing its job. What comes out of the engine is HC (hydro-carbons), NO (nitrogen-oxide), and CO (carbon-monoxide).

before the cat: HC, NO, and CO
after the cat: CO2, N, H2O

If I were you though, because I am very meticulous, I would just make sure I am not losing coolant, and keep an eye on that just to be sure. (That takes very little time to do.)

Actually, the majority of the combustion product is water from the engine.. when the exhaust is cold, all that water simply condenses out.. and the cat converter doesnt do anything untill it reaches operating temperature it will take a while depends on driving.. water produced by the cat converter is very small amount.. since the reactants are in ppm levels..
