So i picked up the inexpensive cast manifold from Ebay a year ago while i was doing my build.
I'm not proud of it, but at that time I did not care about doing anything the right way. I just wanted it done so i bought the dirt cheapest parts I could find. I bought that Ebay cast manifold and a 45mm knock-off wastegate.
Now before I've even started it still (its been a slow project- little over a year) I pulled the turbo and exhaust manifold back off. The manifold cracked so ill get a new one- but that WASTEGATE, oh my god is it a ruysty piece of crap. I doubt it will even operate anymore with how rusty that thing got.

So I am Looking for a nice wastegate- I'm keeping it under 10lbs of boost currently. The manifold has the 4 bolt flange, and its hard to find anything to fit it. What are my options? Tial, HKS, Turbonetics? what models and sizes should I be looking at for my HX40 low boost setup?

heres the manifold---> http://www.ebay.com/itm/REV9-86-92-...AST-IRON-EXHAUST-TURBO-MANIFOLD-/261152901757

how did the manifold crack from just sitting, unless you overtorqued it. i have a cast godspeed on my 2jz and its held up great, i understand different motor but same cast manifold. i would say look at the tial because they give dimensional drawings of their wastegate, but you do have to pick the right wastegate since you can measure the bolt hole spacing to find a proper one. i would suggest nothing smaller than the 40mm that the manifold claims since you plan on running low boost you want to bypass the maximum amount of exhaust gasses you can and a small wastegate wont handle that and you will start to boost creep. if you can fit a 50mm wastegate on the manifold like the description suggest i would try to get as close to that as possible, bigger the hole in the wastegate more exhaust can pass through there. if anything they sell 4 bolt to vband adapters, which i had to do to fit my tial MVR, but i dont know how much clearance you have to work with. Measuring is key here. Also YOU MUST open the wastegate hole on the manifold as big as you can because they are cast really small, take a dial caliper and measure and you can tell, if you dont do this there is a very good chance you WILL boost creep even though you have the biggest wastegate you can fit. what i did with mine is i took the gasket that came with a adpater i bought and drew it on the manifold and ported it out as well as the gasket to the point where there was enough meat left on the gasket to where it would still seal and it worked great. also i would suggest cleaning up the inside with some sanding rolls to prevent possible slag from breaking off and tearing up your turbine wheel. the wastegate you choose wont be cheap i can tell you that but its worth not rusting or boost creeping and saving your turbo and headaches later down the road.
