Well to start off I drove the car home from my mechanics shop today after getting a new turbo put it in. My only problem is the wastegate isn't opening so the turbo isn't building boost. My mechanic said he didn't know how to hook the vacuum hoses up to the turbo correctly. So does anyone have or know where I can find a diagram on how the vacuum hoses hook up? Thanks

if the wga didnt open you wouldnt stop building boost. your WGA is prolly stuck open or vac line routed wrong.

the vac line goes from the WGA to the nipple on the turbo right next to it.

Im pretty sure the vacuum lines are hooked up wrong but I'm not entirely sure. Ill take a few pictures after I mess with a little bit. Ha yeh more than likely not going back to him.
And its bone stock...minus the random baby blue vacuum hoses the kid before me put it in....

How did it "blow an oil line," exactly?

...the only lines I know of would be the ones going to the oil cooler, which wouldn't be a huge deal at all to fix.

And, as previously mentioned, the wastegate line simply goes from the turbo to the wastegate nipple and is about 3 inches long. It doesn't go to any of the other vacuum lines in the car whatsoever, which is probably your issue.

Either that, or you have a massive hole in an intercooler pipe, and it's not building boost because of that.

Well there was an oil line running from the bottom of the turbo that the guy before me rigged up with a heater hose... I think its the nipple your talking about but i found the culprit. Only problem is when i got the heater hose off it tore and i cant get to it unless its on a lift

theres only 2 oil lines coming from the turbo, the feed whic is located next to the oil pressure sending unit, and the return which exits out the bottom of the turbo into a metal accordian L shaped tube which goes into the block near the oil dipstick hole.

the only soft lines are on the top, which are coolant lines. on goes to the top of the water neck and the other to the bottom iirc.

Ya the rubber hose was in between the accordian hose and a big nipple into the block. Id post a picture of it but its at an orielys where the hose blew off a few miles away so im having it towed...again:nono: Besides this everything works fine lol
