Pretty much, i'm having issues w/ creep and when my wastegate is opening.

-it CAN open as soon as 1 psi, sometimes i can hear it opening before my stock boost gauge even activates (so it'd be in vacuum)

-when it opens, the turbo keeps on spooling, it slows a good bit once it gets to about 10-11 psi, but it will hit spark/fuel (whichever you choose to call it) cut in 1st and 3rd (if the turbo is hot enough) and 4th for sure (under any operating temp)

this is on a stock ct-26 w/ stock wastegate, no boost controller or shims on the solenoid

Should i go ahead and replace it? Can i get one from toyota? Or is there anything else that could be causing this problem?

also note that i can hear when the wastegate opens because of the bic ddp

Get a EBC like the greddy profec, and also check for boost leaks,Also make sure the wastegate has a good vacuum source.

actually, it seems pretty good to me.. at least compared to the issues Wrx-ers and DSM-ers have. Maybe your actuator is just old/broken/worn.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the wastegate (maybee not ours, but in general) supposed to open at a pre-set pressure, open all the way, and maintain that pressure?

No.

They tend to pulse while working.

If the gate has no or minimal preload it WILL start to open at low psi this is why an EBC makes such a noticable difference in low end response and spool time as it keeps the gate closed until you reach the preset opening psi.

Depending on the Turbine AR the gate can barely crack open in use to control shaft speed (large AR 1.00 or looser) Or it can slam fully open and sometimes not be able to control the shaft speed (creep)(.60 and tighter).

hm... aight, i understand a lil better, so i guess the question now would be, is creep common with bic ddp users (my exhaust is also simply 3" wide, muffler too, if it were straight you could see perfectly throught the whole thing)

and i guess a ebc would be on my list of stuff to buy now :nono: it's gettin long, lol
