Wastegate actuator bolt tq

The bolts on the wastegate, the ones that people shim, is there a TQ spec for them? I searched, and looked in the TSRM, couldn't find anything.

Is it hand tight?

Hand tight is fine. It doesn't require a precise torque.

the word "snug" comes to mind.

i know its a simple thing but it takes a little experience to be able to tell how tight is tight enough.

I may run out and get new ones jsut to be sure....

I snapped my t-stat bolt the other day....:3d_frown:

I snapped two different bolts holding on brackets. Now, I use the socket to put them in finger tight and then half a turn with the ratchet. Have not broke any since.

I think that is an M8x1.25. The standard low-grade bolt torque for that is 9 ft-lbs.
