Am I the only person that has one band that pretty much covers my whole entire youth? For me it is Iron Maiden started with Number of the Beast in 4th grade and went all the way till now . Piece of Mind came out when I was switching from cub scouts to boy scouts . Powerslave was the summer I failed 6th grade and had to goto summer school. Somewhere inTime was when I moved to Philly to Houston . Seventh Son was when I got my first job and then moved to Washington State . Saw them for the first time In almost 20 years as ozzfest with my wife . Who had never seen them and she was suprised. What about you guys?

There is no way I could narrow it down to just one band.

From 13-16 it was Kiss (Alive, Destroyer)
From 16-18 it was Ted Nugent (Ted Nugent (Self titled), Double Live Gonzo, Free For All, Cat Scratch Fever)
From 18-24 is was AC/DC (Highway to Hell, Back in Black, Dirty Deeds)

After that I kinda flip flopped around a bit including a short stint in Rap, Dance, Christian Rock (lol...yeah...wierd time in my life), and Punk.

Music doesnt define any periods of my life now...but there are certain songs that deffinately cut to the core for me.

hmm for me it started off Guns N Roses. Pretty much ums it up for most of my life, hte i just started pickuing up random rock music because i got tired that they broke up blah blah blah. Still listen to them regularly tho. I went on after my Guns N roses days to Aerosmith, ACDC, Big Wreck, Big Sugar, Nickelback, then it started to get into the darker years when i had slight depression (it was actually musically oriented) when i started listening to Megadeth, Sabbath, Metallica, Graveyard BBQ, nine inch Nails, Korn and Motorhead. Lately its been anythign thats good, even some of the gypsy kings and barry white. man i love music. It makes my world go round.
edit. i forgot to say in between start of highschool and the end i started listening to the wutang and ZZ top at the same time. weird combo.

Dropkick Murphys.

I go through phases but I always end up coming back to them. I've listening to them for about 8 years. Before that I didn't really listen to music.

Weezl.........I love AC/DC.

Cryoslash, I read your post and thought we were the same age because of your musical tastes. Then I found out that I've got underwear older than you. Great choice of music though. You forgot to mention Linkin Park..............lol

The only band I've really listened to consistently for a long time has been Sublime, and I didn't even realize I had till I started looking at my old cds and realized I've been listening to them for a long time.

If I'm you in the future the past is going to be something to look forward to..............:biglaugh:

I'm only six feet tall and weigh one hundred and ninety five pouds. Most of that is hair and feet. Most people can't look me straight in the eye for fear of turning to stone. I'm pretty hideous looking. Fortunately for me my lovely wife likes grotesque things.....................

Blink 182- since i think 5th grade or 6th to today. it almost felt that their music grew up with me, but always stayed the same style.
