hmm its kinda hard with ms1 the only way to do it is by using spark e and f so no knock sensor.

Wasted spak I'd go with a different set of coils. 1j/2j ones dont like firing at double the normal rate. They can't really handle it. the edis coils should be okay.

The only drawback is the shitty resolution. You might as well try it :)

Thats cool to know tis. I'm just going by bad experiences with wasted spark on jz coils.

Even with something like aem I'd run different coils.

wastefire on the stock coils with a DLi can run 1400+whp, I think its good enough for most people.

hey man I was just saying from my own stuff not what other people have done. I've personally had them fire all weak and shitty spark and wear out quickly. Do high power people use stock ignition components? I'm just thinking junkyarding some beefier coils and wiring them in is a lot cheaper than some whoopty doo HKS thingy.

I'd like to see 1400whp on stock coils running wasted spark. That would seriously shut me the hell up.

Fun topic though.

An aftermarket ignition system will be stronger when wired parallel to stock and or stand alone systems larger coils or not. So, DLI would be a better route. Or consider an msd dis box if you think you're paying for the name. Iirc, Titan Motorsports runs wasted spark aem with DLI at 1300whp. Food for thought.

Thats freakin rad! If anyone can do that it's titan. Oh and when I said "beefier" cois I didnt mean larger I meant more powerful. You can junkyard coilpacks for like $30.

I wanna see tyhis 1300hp thing. Which car is it?

SW's 7.91 6 speed car runs stock coils with a DLi (on aem so wastefire). Car makes 1400+whp and traps 190mph in the 1/4 and does 241 in the standing mile.

You could get a new ignitor and coils from a junkyard, but IMO I'd just go with what has been proven time and time again. Stock components with a $400 DLi work wonders.

If you want more videos, go to youtube and type 1000hp supra and watch.

The one with a parachute on it. Running 7s. And either a turbo 350 trans or powerglide auto can't remember. Tell me something. Just because you had issues with this doesn't mean it's wrong, how the hell did you know your coils weren't bad? Also my guess is wotm Ryan woons 1600whp 6 speed is running the same setup.
