So I warshed the ol' japaneese camaro yesterday and took some pics..I clay barred most of the car, still need to stripdown the clearcoat, clean the clear, polish, and wax it, but I got too tired yesterday and it was too hot..It is starting to look nice (the paint anyway) and almost like a respectable car now..BIG thanks to empera for helping me with parts!!!
Recent work I have done to the car inlclude, swapped in a R154, new throttle linkage, got ripped off on ebay for an electric fan (hence why it is not on the car), installed autometer boost and water temp gauges, 89 climate control, 89 tails..
I have a 3pc spoiler but unsure if I want to install it or not and a radio finally..
Now all I need to do is this.
1. Get air conditioning working
2. get power steering working
3. install cd player
4. Get a foglight housing
5. Get trim for pass. door

Heres the pics

Works great, thanks for hooking me up!!Sad thing is, I really don't want to cruise until I get this cooling fan issue resolved because with the warmer weather I am scared it may want to run hot and that is the last thing this car needs..Other then that this car is ready to roll though..I want to get it to the track soon and see what she does..I may try to shim the WG and get 12psi or so before that but she runs 8.5 now and she moves pretty good for how heavy she is:)
I got a pretty decent camera for pics btw, I need to get a tripod from my pops and I will be good to go for night shots, plus it does pretty good video as well..This was a video from this camera..

many people run without fan shrouds, i had to get rid of mine because of the bigger radiator but ima try to make a new one. Get a new fan clutch man! wat are u waiting for...they're actually not that much, i think mine was ~45 bucks new at morris.

well for 45 for the clutch and whatever for the shroud I may as well buy a nice electric kit, which I did and got fucked by this jackass hot rod shop on ebay..

I make my own kit, I just was buying the fan itself..UPDATE: just ordered a fan from somewhere else, may be here this week:)
I use the perma cool temp switch from jegs, I have had one before and they work awesome..I had a setup on one of my galants with a shortened stock rad and it was cool and reliable..

ah ok cool, hopefully u can get that shit running right by the weekend...hehe. is that 89+ still at that junkyard, i never have time to go check. I need the heater control valve + lower hose, and does it still have the 89+ climate control?

I really was toying with keeping the stock setup but like I said I have no shroud, and everyone wants like 50 dollars for one..I already bought a 2700 CFM fan that should be WAY more then enough..I have used e-fans on my rx7's and stuff as well with great success and they run hot as hell under the hood..Thanks for the tip though..
I also have an almost new rad to throw in that I got from the junkyard so I can mount up my fan before I put the new rad in there..

I would suggest rebuilding your fan clutch and keeping that. You need 3 bottles ( IIRC they are 50mL bottles) of 3000wt (?) dif. fluid from rc cars. Mugen is a great brand, like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mugen-3000-Supe...ryZ34063QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

Keep your old O-ring (try not to break it when taking it out), drain the old out (what's left) fluid, refill, seal back up, done ;).
