Guys,

i need some help. When driving, the "brake", "battary" and the amber "tail light flasher" light flicker on and off in unison. What causes this? They flicker almost as if there is a short of somesort. Is it an error condition, short, or even related to some other electrical device (such as alarm) on the car?

Thanks

if you have to get a new one, i think the 90-91 MR2 alternator is very similar but puts out a lot more amps for near the same price. searching should give more info.

Check out ebaymotors you can get a 130 AMP alternator for about $90-$120 shipped for a Supra or you can get the stock alternator which is 70 AMP for a N/A and 80 AMP for a turbo Supra.

On my 89 its bolted just below the drivers side tail light. So you have to take off the interior in the trunk. just the moulded piece at the very rear of the car that covers the tail lights. Its a white box. Ive never had one fail i don't know how to diagnose it. Im sure thats on the forum somewhere.
