A couple of years ago, we were building a Spencer's Gifts at the mall, and could only work during off hours... Well, one of our crack head employees decided to lean his ladder against the sprinkler line, and you can guess what happened next... That was exciting... Only cost us $750 for the fire department to come out and shut it off... Great memory... And yes, that guy was fired... ;)

a few years back we had a guy lifting a oversized truck on 1 of our lifts, needless to say the roof of the box truck crushed 1 of the sprinklers, at 1st we all thought he blew the A/C line at the top but quickly realized it was the sprinklers.... ruined 2 blanancing machines and 1 mounting machine... whats even more sad though was that aparently our system wasnt hooked to the fire department, so noone came until we called to have them shut it down, good thing there wasnt ever a fire

Yeah OSHA would have a field day with that one. How about not operating the machine with the forks in the lifted position? Climbing to the top step of the ladder? Not being strapped in when climbing that high in a free-standing area? LOL

Yikes.

When OSHA comes into my job, they're all business. They write everyone up for all kinds of stuff. I never get written up, though. All my co-workers make fun of me.

Oh well, they're all union, I'm not. Much easier for me to lose my job. ;)

Couple years ago a dumbass in my barracks who lived on the 3rd floor decided to hang his clothes from his fire sprinkler (even though there is a sticker saying not to) and he ended up flooding his room and the 2 rooms directly below his with about 4 inches of water in each room. I lived 1 room to the right on the 1st floor, so I just needed a towel at the door to stop the water. Dumb asses.
