I had a HKS 65mm on my car when it was a NA. Its real quiet in comparison to my 85mm HKS I now have.

I liked it because it isn't RickyRacer. Its a little loader than stock.

Yeah, My car is currently an NA. I'll be doing a turbo swap next winter, but wanted to know how they have been/performed on the NA's. I wouldn't mind upgrading my exhaust (currently 2.5" all the way) but don;t want it to be any louder than it already is. Infact I would like mine to be a bit quieter. Maybe to save the coins I'll just get rid of my N1 muffeler and put something a bit quieter on. Does Anyone have any experience with louder than stock, but rather quiet mufflers. LMK which one you have

The HKS 65mm came with a 2nd resonator to reduce noise. My n/a setup was 4" intake, Pacesetter headers, 3" high-flow catco, HKS 65mm catback. Nice deep sporty tone but quiet on highway.

Same setup when I went 7mgte. A lot quieter than n/a but louder than a stock turbo catback.

I'd really like my car to be a lot quieter. I don't want to attract a lot of attention. Some places I go the local law inforcement will give you a ticket. A guy I met last year got cited in his built 240ZX turbo in the city he lives in. He had to take it to a state referee to get the SPL tested. He had a Greddy or HKS exhaust too. It isn't any loader than my HKS.

If you're going to do a turbo mod, don't get the 65mm HKS. I was told it won't flow enough for a modded turbo. You'll lose some potential performance if you do. That's why I have the 85mm HKS.
