well i say def not the airtex. nowhere in the ad (that i can find) does it list its flow rate. also, ive never even heard of them and wouldnt trust my car to such on a vital piece.

i just got rid of mine completely, as it serves no purpose whatsoever with an upgraded fuel system. :) you can do either. ;) here's a pic:

Airtex is a somewhat respectable company.
I assume the pump that you looked up was an OEM replacement MKIV pump, correct?
If not, then definetely the Walbro.

you'd build too much fuel pressure because it would restrict return flow to the tank... a wally/ any upgraded pump flows too much to force through that little hole. the FPR WILL be bleeding off alot of fuel to the return line.

You know that tube you use to get gas in the car, follow it to a huge ass tank that is held up by two straps. It's inside and you have to drop the tank to get it out.

Its easy as long as its mostly drained. Shouldn't take you more that a couple of hours to drop it, swap it, and put it back up. Unless you run into problems like broken parts, which is always a possibility with an 18 year old car. GL.

mine's an 86.5, and is rusty. stupid road salt. anyway, it took me about an hour and a half total to replace the fuel pump...
