hey guys i was just curious if i would be ok to run a walbro 255 lph pump on my stock engine, turbo, injectors, etc? my car is almost running again. and the tank is off, with no pump. i figured i would put the walbro in now, instead of doing this two times. tell me what you think. thanks

Mike

You can put it in, but you will need to test the stock FPR to make sure it's in spec afterwards. I'm guessing the FPR is the original...the new pump might be more than it can handle. If it's not in spec, try drilling the "J" tube out first to remove the restriction on the return line to the tank.

Of course, an adjustable FPR will solve the problem...get one with the gauge and making adjustments is easy. The adjustable FPR and Walbro pump is a great combination to make sure the Lex AFM and 550's you have get the fuel required. Drill out or remove the "J" tube on this mod.

As for not doing something twice, that is the correct line of thinking. If you plan on a build up, do it now. With the other mods and precautions Jdub listed.

I would recommend a AFPR though, it's a good upgrade even for a stock engine. I have Aeromotive kits for $250 :icon_wink
