w58 vs r 154 ! help !!!

heres the dprob guys i just bought a nother 87 7mgte from my buddy who seems to have killed :3d_frown: the r154 that is in the car right now so heres my question i have 2 w58's sittin here and i really miss driving my car what shoul i do would i lose much if i put the w 58 in or should i keep lookin lfor the r 154 the gearin isnt to far off on then

w58 r154
1st 3.29 3.30
2nd 1.89 1.95
3rd 1.28 1.34
4th 1.00 1.00
5th 0.78 0.75

W58 IS OK BUT....

Switching to a 4.30 rear end will keep the tranny/motor/rear end/speedo numbers more friendly, and using the W58 on increased boost will eventually kill it.

w58 won't last through the abuse either... IIRC it has a shorter drive shaft also.

just use the w58. unless your putting more then 300whp. It will do just fine.
