So I dont have an increadibly aggresive turbo build im wanting to do for my 7mgte... i was wondering if i could keep my w58 tranny and just get a stronger clutch for around 300-350 rwhp

Best if you rebuild it.
Will probably hold, I've seen a mk2 w58 hold a 57trim ct 7m just fine with a ACT 6 puck.

ya but heres the deal...i wont be wanting more then 350rwhp for atleast 2 years
cause of all the stuff i want to get done in the next 2
(350rwhp car, 18x10" rear rims +18x8.5 fronts and tires, new paintjob with lip kit, Interior redone.. lowerd...) all that will keep my money tied up i just wanna know if the w58 will hold up
keep the w58 and dont put strain on it like hard launches and burn outs and you will be fine with a good clutch.

Ive been making 400whp and close to the same torque for the last almost year and a half. I wouldnt abuse it too much from digs but ive made plenty of runs rolling into power.I run a fidanza aluminum flywheel and spec stage 3+.So far so good.Goodluck
I like my w58 with a cruddy ebay clutch. It's light and works fine, but the clutch sux. I'm probably at about 300-350 hp. If it blows, I'll upgrade, but I doubt the clutch has enough hold to blow the trans.
R-154 do it the right way right away it will same you time in the future. Its never fun to have to pull your tranny out, although I've found it easiest to always pull the engine and tranny out as one.
w58 is fine for now, just make sure you don't do anything stupid in it, and you're good to go...
