So I dont have an increadibly aggresive turbo build im wanting to do for my 7mgte... i was wondering if i could keep my w58 tranny and just get a stronger clutch for around 300-350 rwhp

Will probably hold, I've seen a mk2 w58 hold a 57trim ct 7m just fine with a ACT 6 puck.

In any case, I was pushing 300+rwhp through a w58 for a while. I have a lead foot. I cannot tell you what kind of stress it was under (likely a lot in a fat car like ours), but it didn't blow up in the year and a half I had the car on the road at that power level.
I wouldn't bother rebuilding a w58. If you have plans for more power (even if you don't right now, you will... LOL- everyone always wants more) you'd be better off just getting an r154 in my opinion. It will likely be cheaper in the long run.

cause of all the stuff i want to get done in the next 2
(350rwhp car, 18x10" rear rims +18x8.5 fronts and tires, new paintjob with lip kit, Interior redone.. lowerd...) all that will keep my money tied up i just wanna know if the w58 will hold up
