VPC + SAFC 2 Installation / Wiring, need to know how to.

ok i have the diagrams for the ECU, i have the VPC installed and i have an extension harness spliced and ready to go...just need to know which colours go where, which im sure i can find, but my main question is...how can i incorporate the SAFC 2 and the VPC since i know the vpc has output for a GCC so im guessing i can use some of the wires from there ?

any good info. would be usefull, i've searched and only found 89+ instructions and non-vpc + safc combo installs...

Empera: I have the S-AFC II installed with the HKS VPC. I have an 89, what year is yours? I'll try to help out and get some pics this afternoon, or if you know the color of the wires, I'll check where mine are tapped into...

when you use the 2 together, be sure you put the afc AFTER the vpc. it works much better.

so it should go like sensor- vpc input - vpc output - afc input - afc output- ecu

Okay, Empera, here is what I have for notes after going outside:

S-AFC II harness.....................VPC harness

Yellow/blue/white....................Not used
Pink......................................ECU side White w/ red collar from middle harness
Orange..................................VPC side White w/ red collar from middle harness
Red.......................................Red wire w/ black collar on top left of the harness closest to you as you look at it
Green....................................Red w/ yellow stripe and a black collar on last connector
Gray......................................White w/ yellow stripe and red collar middle harness
Black & Brown.........................Shared ground on black wire w/ red collar on top left of last connector
Purple....................................Red w/ black collar and black stripe

On the pink and orange wires, you cut the wire and the pink connects to one side and the orange the other. I'm pretty sure this is the modified Karman vortex output that the AFC II is modifying again.

I'll disconnect my harness tomorrow and take some pics, but I think ours will be different since yours is pre-89.

wire the VPC normally, and wire the AFC at the ECU just like the instructions say, set it up for KV signal, since thats what the ECU will be getting and you should be good.
