Hi guys. 89 turbo with pt 61, 660 cc, vpc, afc, fpr, 12 volt mod. Had this setup for a few years now with no probs.
3 nights ago she stalled on the highway and had to flatbed her home. Starts but dies.
Code 31.
Investigated today looking at wiring connections and all looks well. Disconnected afc to rule that out.
Are there any tests I can conduct to determine if the vpc unit or sensors are bad?
I did try this http://www.jestrtuning.com/images/vpc/vpc7.jpg, And I'm getting a "below zero" reading in both yellow and blue wires. I tested these wires at the vpc unit side of the connector. Is that possible?
Also, all the led lights on my unit are on. I confirmed with a fellow mk3 owner that only the lowest led lights up on his unit. All knobs are set to 12 o clock on both cars.
Are there voltage tests or resistance test to ck. the wiring or unit itself?
