VPC and SAFR or SAFC

okay, just got my vpc hooked up and i don't know which one to buy, the hks safr or apexi safc. i did some research and most people use the apexi unit.

my question is if the hks unit is cheaper and has more points for fine tunning, why not get this unit over the apexi...

VPC users please input... especially vpc/safr

which is better and why

The reason I like the S-AFC is the readout, you're hunting and pecking with the HKS unit. The S-AFC extropolates (sp?) all points into between your break-points, so you get a smooth map, reguardless of the number of breakpoints. I've never had a lean spot I couldn't tune out smoothely with the S-AFC.

While I have no prior personal experiences with either unit, I would go with the S-AFCII due to the way it's set up and the overall feel of the unit. I've seen both in use, but the S-AFCII just appeals to me more...

huh.. looking at either unit closely...
you may as well compare an old school Apex-i AFC to the HKS S-AFR....

i talked to someone at HPF and they said that the SAFC II is discontinued due to the new apexi neo thats out now which is better then the SAFC II

i don't care about how it looks... the hks unit is cheap and does the job but i have heard that it doesn't work well with the vpc... is this true? can anyone confirm...

Any of the choices should work fine with the VPC provided you install it properly. The HKS S-AFR is clearly the underdog, it has the least features and cost, shouldn't be any reason for it not to work with the VPC though.
