VIN Inspection?

can some one please tell me what they consist of.
I need one here in nevada, and just want to know what to expect.
i cant find it on google.

You have to take your car to either the DMV or a police station. They will look under the hood (don't worry about "illegal" mods, they are just concerned that you have a motor in there), look at the VIN in the windshield, and on the drivers side door jam (where the latch is). It's free every time I've gotten one (both in California and Oregon), and it takes all of 5 minutes to do. I got one done on my Supra right after I got the motor swap done.

They don't check that. They don't even check to see if the car runs.
