i have an 89T and its basically stock with hardpipes and BOV and im running the greddy type S and as most know venting creates richness and stalls when i come to a light or stop. i have played with it and cant seem to get it right.

my question is with the SAFC if i get one of those what controls do i adjust to fix the idle and between shifts.?

also if i get the greddy RS do you think it would be better to vent to the atmosphere or would i be in the same boat? anyone run this?

i have searched!!

if u get the MAFT you can run it in blow through and as long as the BOV is before the MAF it wont dip down like that, im running my type S pretty much off my chargepipe

The richness is tuned out if you play with it long enough. I don't know if you have the option (since you have hardpipes), but I started running the stock bov and the Greddy type s at the same time, and then it ran perfect, no problems at all.

i use the type s on my hardpipe kit and used to have the rs and neither of them ever made me die. It would sometimes dip into low rpm's but never die. i remember on my rs i went on the soft setting rather than hard.

the bov function (dec air) on the afc does not work w/ our cars since we use kv.
if it is tuned right it will reduce the likelyhood of the stalling.
