I got a VDO boost gauge in the mail today and of course there are no instructions. My question is with the wiring. There are 2 prongs on the back, I am assuming negative and positive terminals. How do I tell which is which as they are not marked? Can I put a voltmeter to it and tell somehow like that?

I have the vaccum line hooked up from my old autometer gauge. There are no wires on the gauge just the two prongs. They kind of look like male ends of a spade connector.

yes it has a light. The vdo gauge does not use prongs to mount, instead it uses a screw on cup. The male spades are for wiring. It doesn't matter how you wire it. It's a light bulb. You can run the power either way.
