How often can vapor lock occur in the supra? I live on the west coast, and here in the valley for the past few days the temps have been averaging around 104 - 107,and my car has been idling funny.(550 rpm then dies) It will start, but not want to run. I have too keep my foot on the accelerator to keep it at a constant rpm. i have found no codes saved, and the "check engine " light blinks every .25 second, indicating that everything is fine. WHAT GIVES?

I'm up in Lancaster, CA, where it's been 107* +. Good thing my a/c works !!!

They won't vapor lock, as the fuel pump is in the tank, and kept kool by the gasoline.
I suspect another problem, such as, fuel quality. I decided today that for the summer I am going to buy premium fuel (91) because of the heat. I have not had any problems, but I figured running 87 octane in this heat may cause it to 'ping' some, and then the knock sensor may retard the timing.

I have the timing set at 15*, and it runs great. I run a tiny bit rich anyways (I have access to a smog machine with dyno), but hey, still legal. 15mpg town/20 hwy.
