Hello, I tried searching a little bit for this but just found things about oil leaks. Anyway, my problem is that every time I try to remove one of these, it strips real quick. I was just wondering what the proper method for removing these is. I'm just using a phillips head screwdriver, normal sized, and only using normal hand power, but they strip with ease.

Im in the process of buying some replacments for these screws, because I really dont like them. But I still need to get them out first.

If you haven't buggered them completely up yet try dipping the tip of the screwdriver in coarse valve lapping compound. Used to work really well but I haven't done it in a while...not since I got screwdrivers with diamond dusted tips. Not cheap but worth every penny ;)

also a product called strip-out at hardware stores. pretty much like valve lapping compound, just a gritty gray toothpaste

After you get them out, upgrade to some bolts.

just make sure you follow the torque specs in in/lbs.

bolts sometimes encourage people to tighten the shit out of things.
