I fixing a valve cover leak and would like know if anyone has the link to a write-up a member did about replacing the bolts with 10mm hex heads and the type of metal to use so that there is no reaction between the bolts and the head.
It was and interesting write-up at the time but didn't need the bolts then. Thanks guys

Also are the any aftermarket front bumpers for pre89s of just lips

Thanks for the help and that write-up might be useful in the reference tips incase anyone wants to replace any other bolts in the head and don't want any eletrolysis.

I'm happy this thread got made because I'm going to be doing the same job soon.Helpful write up

Proud to have taken the chance of being told to use the search button. Atleast some people will know not to put two reactive metals together.

Yes, well putting something relevant to the topic in the thread title would have been a good idea as well, for when people do use the search button.

I've just seen this happen more than enough and it only makes searches more difficult and I'm just pointing out that it would make things easier.

For example, someone searching for "valve cover" and having a thread come up in the bunch that "Anyone have this link?"...it's likely you may tend to skip over that one. This isn't the bext example because you would come across the thread from the Informative Links section but I think I made my point now :icon_razz

I thought of this while posting but decided not to make a really long title. Plus I was hoping once said link was found that someone would put it in a seperate thread in the reference section
