I do not know what car or engine that is in the pic. I am kind of interested though. However, this post is titled "V8 Supra" so here it is.

what is that a LS-1 syst? I'd love to have an LS-7 in my supra. ls swap would not only be a jump in power and diplacement but take a nice bit of weight out the front end seeing as they have aluminum blocks

Yeah, it is an LS1. Well, actually and LS6/T56 combo but basically. Yeah the engine is a lot lighter than the turbo 7M and also has 3/4 of the engine behind the front axle.

Well, while we're on the topic of this

I'm actually not sure if this is an LT1 or LS1...but it was in a Camaro...
It had right at 1000rwhp and is twin turbo.

What it was doing at Chi2k6? I. don't. know...

right behind the headlights:evil2: ....... with all the piping in some of the custom v8 single and twin turbos is there alot of lag or does the amount of air that is being displaced(5.7V8 vs. 3.0 I-6) compensate for alot?

Does the powerband seem more linear ...... When i hear the spools on big turbo trucks it seems to me that they spool almost instantly like a stock ct26 but even better like the 1500rpm range

Are you referring to how most V8 Turbo cars have reeeeaally long exhaust manifolds (that usually have to stretch around the motor)?

If so, I don't think it's really enough to HURT or really damage the power of it...sort of the same deal with intercooler piping. The shorter the better...but it still travels.

Someone else will chime in.

You'd have an easier time hatching out a hardware store by sitting on a doorknob.....................:biglaugh:

Good luck with that though.

Not so much hurt the final whp because most dyno king/queen cars lag for ever on the street ...... i am asking about the actual lag caused by these long custom pipes all over the place? (exhaust and IC piping included)

Or does that fact that a 5.0, 5.7, etc. motor moves way more air naturally than 3.0 I-6 thus making the piping not a real big issue with lag overall?

a tt or t sbc can move alot of air mixed with the right head's and other supporting mods

sbc will destoy a 7mgte any day of the week

but you turning your car is in to a red headed step child of toyota

as in you longer runner idea it will be fine and pop out alot of smack mixed with the right turbo of cores and better top end

best is to get a short runner header left and left and mod from there

quicker spooling top end limted

well good luck

ps the pick form up top look's like sbc marine header aka as in boat header's
