Imagine a situation:

One day an 1G-GTE Supra starts "smoking". Next day you hear strange noise, sometimes knocks. So what would you do if two days later you have flight to Tokyo and then to Nagoya in Japan? Yes, you leave you supra in the garage, but strongly promising to repaire it after coming back.

There is too much work in Japan. And in free time, every evening you see similar programms on TV, all dedicated to "how to cook a fish". You ask your japanese friend help to buy an used car and he does... its 1992 T.Soarer UZZ31. Nice joke. Bought on auction, with mark "4" and smthng about 30000 of mileage.
So this car becomes only transport for next 3 months.

And when time comes to come back home, my friend didn't want to sell this car and he decided to import it into Russia. No way! 4 litres of engine displacement and 1992 year of production are base for monstrous custom taxes - $14500! And this for 2000$ car!

So.. he dismount engine, suspension, all wires and electric equipment. Only car's body left in Japan.

Yes, I know, "V8" means this is not Supra anymore.

Thats going to be a very interesting car when its done, I like what you're doing with the dash also, can't wait to see finished pictures...

Just curious, what did you need to do to get the engine sitting on the mounts?

I'm thinking of putting a 1UZ-FE into my spare Soarer someday, just wondering how easy/hard it is...

What year is the supra?

All work was canceled 2 week ago because of abnormal (even for Siberia) cold weather and problems with my main job. And i don't have an idea when it will done, cause i also have hurry up with my own 2jz supra to show it on local auto fair in may.

There is some things was really difficult for me:
(first of all - to find words to write this. I'd better take new pictures and show)

second "First of all" - electric. I said to owner to replace only engine and gearbox and sell all another. But he's realy wants to see soarer in supra's body.

For the first sight it is easy -just install mechanic parts and replace supra all supra wires with soarer... No way - Supra just have no enough space for this!
And there is also difference in light system (opening lamps on supra and usual on soarer).
But i have to say "thanks" to Toyota engeniers: we just replaced all supra's climat-control servo-motors with motors form soarer! And climat system works fine.
After we show this to owner he was sure to install other soarer parts - digi-dash, sound, etc..

2) mounting the engine. We did a custom mounts. I tryed to instal Soarer's front subframe, but i gave up soon - it'd take a much welding works and was no warranty i make it strong.

3) Propellershaft consist of two parts: rear - supra, front - soarer. Weld and balanced on local Aircraft factory.

4) Stock UZZ331 radiator is little bigger than supras' one. I made some changes in front frame. Photos come soon.

One month ago i was sure i can finish work in 2-3 weeks. But now... There is not much space for tonns of Soarer's integrated relays blocks and wires... Especially under the wheel column. For three relays i make new longer harness.

Also - TV-set (climate control and sound sistem) is tooo big. I asked owner what he prefer: to cut soarer central console to move TV a little back, or cut front clip of climat collector.
As he don't want use this car in winter time he decide to cut collector, so there is no central and side vent holes oin the dash.

After we finish this we decide to cover all surfaces using flock. Have not so much expirience, but local flock trader promise to help us test new equipment we just bought :)

----
future plans:

Possible chargering the system. I have an idea how to install charger from 1G-GZE engine, but i have no expirience in fuel correction and don't know what changes i should do with compression ratio
