Upgraded turbo question.

Currently looking at the T61.

Should I go with a T61 or send in my CT26 to be upgraded with a 57 trim? Or just go with a T4 setup?

I assume the T61 just bolts right up without any modifications?

I'm wanting to push 450 or so right now..

3" exhaust
CX racing intercooler kit
IS300 coil pack
MBC at 15 psi
walbro 255 fuel pump

I was told to specifically stay away from 60-1 due to reliability issues pertaining to the CT26 having a short shaft? This is a daily car.

A "real" T61 compressor wheel is bigger than a 60-1. So, I don't see how a T61 wheeled CT26 would be anymore "reliable" than the 60-1.

Yes, all the people that say 60-1's are unreliable.. just disreguard them and buy one off this guy.
On a side note, you're not going to be able to get a reliable 450 with a ct26 imo.
