intake is the obvious move...exhaust...go with a flowmaster..the common import trend is straight through cannisters..they sound stupid on NA cars.

is a straight through canister one of those bolt on cheapy things you can get at Kragen?? I looked at those things and wondered if they were any good....

right now I have a stock looking dual-tip no-name muffler... quiet and a little raspy...i'd like to give it a little more guts, and i think it's the muffler...

How hard is it to gut the cat??

I bought a cheap 3Aracing muffler from a buddy(autozone muffler).I took it too a muffler shop and they ran me 2 3/4 inch from the cat back. Its not too bad i definetly felt an improvement, but the muffler is border line drone while cruising.I installed a k&n fipk a few months back, which i am also happy with.

an NA, isn't really worth upgrading like mad, like lanky said, a few things here and there wont hurt, but your not going to get massive power from it.
go turbo.

I would just go out and look at the engine bay. Check for anything that is off, like a small hose connection. Check out some bolts where you see some leaks and just see if they need a good tightening. If you're lucky enough to have ramps pull the car up and do the same thing on the underside. But def. start removing things in the engine bay. Like the cover to the distributor cap. gone. I thought about an actual fipk. But of you get out there and start looking around you can unrestrict the car very easily and then you get rid of the charcoal filter, damn I bet you could even replace it with pvc pipe, If it had to happen and you were low on bucks. Just learn your car. it will tell you yes, no, more or less.

What would removing the distributer cap do with helping performance?

Toyota put it there for a reason

Nothing..., It's just not needed. SO why everytime you want to go to the wires remove it and put it back on. YA YA YA toyota put it there for a reason. 15 mother f ucking years ago. It's not rocket science. the less you weigh , the faster you go. YA there are a few of you that want to take some jabs at me. I have a different thought process than some of you. So you can keep being negative........., Because I am just going to keep talking with anyone about our supras' that wants to carry a conversation with me. If that isn't you...., Step Off. Just like the hatchback. Toyota put that piece of wood there for a reasin riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight????? Hey.., 5/10lbs lighter is stil 5/10lbs lighter. It's not like these cars are being driven off the showroom floor today or even last year. You have every right to do whatever you want to do to your ride as long as you are maintaining the code and the integrity of the supra. If you don't like what I have to say...., don't read it. I told you all I was opinionated, But I meant no disrespect to anyone. And I feel like I haven't as of yet. And it reads the cover of the distributor cap. Maybe you should read things twice, get your facts straight and form a conclusion before you just sit down and start typing. I know that helps me alot of times. I appreciate your responce though, and Thanks.

For every 100 pounds you take off, it estimated one-tenth of a second is taken off your 1/4 mile time.

Ill keep my distibuter cap on, for the durabiltly factor and simply "take the wieght" and lose the time off my 1/4 mile.....

I'm not into quarter miles. I'm into street racing and playing and having a goodtime behind the wheel. Just because you beat me in a straight line doesn't mean you can drive. And I am not trying to point the finger so don't get ur panties twisted. No one ever talks about how the car handles as if it has cat like reflexes. It respondes to my touch. I will admit that I like 1/2 miling it. But in a 7mge......, I have no business on a drag strip.
