Well I finally got rid of the famous Code 52 Knock sensor! WOO HOO!:biglaugh: i rewired them ( and they appear to be brand new ( thanks PO)) and now i can run into boost no issues and all is well.!!!!!!!!

So I got ballsy today and shimmed my wastegate. i put 5 washers on each bolt and took it for a drive.................. so i spiked boost at around 10psi......... then nada! back to like stock-ish i think it is stable at like 7-7.5 psi will not go higher?? any thoughts???

Could be a tired wastegate. Are you stock? I wouldn't worry about upping the boost until you let that engine breath in and exhale freely (Turbo back exhaust, air filter, hard pipes, IC) ;).

Not entirely stock.... 3" cat back... fabbing up my Dp and test pipe hopefully finished here soon. AEM dry flow cone filter fabbed up my own adapter plate.
Hard pipes I will be starting tomorrow. I was going to use 2.5" exhaust tubing any issues with this or no???

Sounds like your 20 year old piping didn't like 10 lbs too much...mine didn't either. I now have hard pipes to install this spring.

If you're using 2-3 washers...7-8psi is about what you would expect ;)
Check all your couplers though...won't hurt.

Exhaust tubing will work great for IC piping...just make sure they're very clean inside. Don't want any weld splats heading into the motor ;)
You will need to form some sort of lip to prevent couplers from blowing off. Use good quality couplers and T-bolt clamps on the IC piping.

edit that to add as well... ARP studs to 94ft/lbs and if my stock pipes couldn't take 10psi were the hell did it go to then?? did something blow out or what?

You could have a boost leak...like a tear/crack in an IC pipe, that opens when it reaches a certain pressure...

Also, you should post pictures of your AFM adapter plate, because sometimes, if the inside edge isn't square, the AFM won't get airflow around the four corners of the plate, and you could have problems.
