Did you change the hose on the drivers side or the one of the passenger side. Every 7m motor I've worked on has bad corrosion and/or rust around the spout on the back of the head where those hoses go. Sounds like it's leaking around there and is following gravity and traveling down your transmission, which runs very close to the exhaust and shifter. Is it a bad leak?

You need to borrow a pressure tester and find the leak so you can fix it. Little leaks have a habit of turning into big bad leaks at the worst possible time.

I had this problem it was the hose that is in the back of the engine on top of your e.g.r cooler.check that hose for leeks.for some reason the drip travled all the way down to the side of the transmission.
