Im gathering parts so I can install my Masterpower T-70 so obviously im going to have a custom downpipe made. It would be alot easier to just weld in a bung than a flange like the factory o2 on the mk3. Can I get any universal o2 sensor or does it have to be a 3 wire of a 4 wire?

theres a bosche 3 wire sensor that works great. someone will chime in.

i went to autozone and got an OE O2 sensor for my NA, it was only one cable and i thought i needed 2 for the precat o2 sensor...but i didnt.
nope, not mine. its only one wire coming from the O2 sensor. the tsrm said i needed 2 o2 sensors...but i only needed one.
get a o2 off a 89 5.0 mustang works great and cheap and readily available just have to spilce your plug on .

Just looked them up on Summitracing since I can just go down the street and pick it up. They have a 3 wire and a 4 wire sensor so I'm going to go over there and see if the 3 wire is a thread in because the 4 wire is labeled as a thread in sensor and the 3 wire is not.
