Unhacking a hackjob: Vacuum lines and PS reservoir

I'm pretty sure I have all the vacuum lines right except for one. On the diagram, it says "to air control valve" but before I removed it, went down the pipe across the front of the engine and to the intake from there. Is this correct? Or is there something else it should go to?
Second thing I need to fix is the PS reservoir. When I got the car, it was just sitting in front of the intake, not bolted down. Can somebody show me a good pic of how it is mounted on the turbo cars? The pic in the TSRM doesn't really help me. Also, are heater hoses acceptable or do I need to replace them with OE spec PS hoses to and from the reservoir? I will eventually switch them, but I can only fix so many things at a time.
Thanks in advance.

yeah the pipe you are reffering to helps to remove unwatned crank case gas by pulling vaccum and dispersing it back into the intake. This hose is meant to be routed across the top of the engine and back into the acordian intake hose.

attached is a picture of how the P/S res should be mounted.

Here's a picture of the power steering reservoir.

It'll need proper hoses... it holds Automatic transmission fluid, so any hose that's build for ATF should work.

As for the vacuum lines, which diagram are you referring to?

The one on the hood. I'm referring to the really small pipe that's on the front of the motor. The lower end of that is going directly into my intake. According the the vacuum diagram there is something called an air control valve, basically, I want to know where its at what it does. Thanks.

That is not PCV.
That is power steering idle up control valve.
It goes from the hard vacuum rail on the intake manifold > across the front of the engine (originally a hard line) > to idle up valve on the ps pump. There is then a line off the other side of that valve that goes to the underside of the accordion hose.

My Power Steering resevior is also just sitting there not bolted down as well. But mine is missing the second bracket piece that bolts it down to the engine.

Did you ever get this figured out?

I believe the vacuum pipe you are talking about is #17303B. The valve#17630 out front in that pic, is located on the back of the power steering motor. The vacuum pipe goes to one side of it, and the other side runs to the bottom of the AFM.

The hose that connects the pipe to the valve is connected to the side with the notch at the bottom of the nipple. At least the diagram shows it that way, and that's the way I placed it on mine.
