I'm finding a 12.1" XPS M1210 to be too big to lug around. I need suggestions on a PDA/UMPC/Tiny fucking digital assistant.

This is what I need it to be able to do:

1) WiFi Support. 802.11g is a must, 802.11n preferred.
2) Web/Email. Prefer a full featured Firefox setup, maybe with Thunderbird?
3) Office applications. I need to be able to store a schedule, make notes, input contact numbers, addresses, that kind of thing.
4) Price limit of $2000

I don't care if it can play movies/mp3s. If it does, great, I'll use it - if it doesn't, no big deal.

Seriously, I'm considering getting an iPhone, since my 2 year contract with Nextel ends this month. I'm just worried I'll break the damn thing. I'm using an i580 right now, and it is destruction-proof - I've found an aluminum cage that could make the iPhone almost as tough (minus water resistance)

What I will use it for:
I'm basically a Field Technician for Santa Fe Community College. I need a digital assistant to keep track of my damn day, but smaller than my laptop. Something quick, and on the go.

I'm no strange to Linux, so I can go there, too.

Any recommendations?
