As I stated b4 my cars smokin white now I just realized that there
is no heatshield on the turbo? Could this be the reason? Also there is
a new sound, intense gurging under dash. Umm wtf do I do?

I'm not a certified mechanic, but it sounds like you definately have a blown head gasket. The heat shield or lack there of had no effect on this. Time to get your hands dirty...........good luck.

before you jump to any conclusions-

1) pressure test the cooling system. the gurgling could be something easily fixed, such as a hole in a coolant hose, bad radiator cap, etc...

2) check cylander compression

3) leakdown test.

look at the back of the oil cap for signs of foamy looking oil. Also inspect the oil itself to see if it’s foamy. If it’s foamy indeed, this is a sign of water jacket to oil passage BHG.
^NONE OF THIS APPLIES SO FAR^

do a leak down test, you need to have a coolant system pressure tester and basically you just see if the system will hold pressure. if it drops fast, ur effed aslong as you dont have leaks anywhere. without the heat sheild its possible that u might of just had so much heat under the engine that you cooked the one side of the head gasket. also you can do a compression test, thats another prettty good way of telling whats going on in your motor :)

If it gets to that point, it will be time for a full rebuild (should do this anyway if you have a BHG of any kind) But the foamy oil means coolant is in the oil....next step KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK :icon_surp the bearings will not last too much more if you see foam.

not always true. sometimes you can get away with it if you catch it EARLY. tore a motor apart with the BHG snot under the oil cap and the bearings and journals still looked great.

this is true. i did a hg job on my brothers 85 yota truck that unfortunatly did not get caught early, and man was it fun to clean up. that was atleast four or five yours ago. truck still runs great.

leakdown test and get a block tester.

::edit:: compression numbers look good :bigthumb:
the truth with compression lies within the leakdown test. it shows how much compression the cylinder not only makes, but is able to hold for a set period of time.

A leakdown test will give you a little more in-depth reading of a compression check. It puts pressure into a cylinder, one at a time. And it reads how much pressure is leaking out, through either the exhaust side, intake side, or piston rings. Some leakage is normal on most cars.

the gurgling: air bubbles in your coolant.
why?
white smoke:possibly a busted head gasket.
what do you do?

Lol....After seeing this same exact thread sooo many times...its just gets funny.

Oh and if you catch the BHG early you def dont need to rebuild, BUT def check sh1t out to make sure you dont....
