Well, his numbers are a little high, but the idea is essentially feasible.

Bill Gates' nemesis he will not be, however. Inventions do not make people filthy stinking rich, good business practice does. Bill wouldn't have anywhere near the cash he has now if he didn't understand how to run a business, no matter what kind of software he wrote initially.

he can make explores get 40mpg and go from 0-60 in 3 secs. LOL umm buddy most cars cant do that, dipshit.
Thats the point. That's why it's called an INVENTION. Because most cars /can't/ do that, and this person wants to prove that he can make them do that.

It's a really simple concept. You have a large amount of kinetic energy (your rolling car) This is energy wasted and dissapated to heat via your brakes. If you could use a device, ie huge flywheel, or in this case, hydristor, to store that energy it's like your car is still going 60mph or whatever.

Then all you do is transfer that energy back into the wheels, in this case bypassing the transmission, so you have instant torque and almost instant momentum as the energy is passed back to the car.

It's just like borrowing from one pile, storing it somewhere else, and then returning it back to the original pile.

This idea is not new, and it's hardly bullshit.

All it is is a hydraulic powered drive unit. If you have seen the lawnmowers that turn around in place that are controlled by the 2 levers, its the same thing. A motor runs a hydraulic pump which is run through regulator that controls pressure and then runs to the rotary hydraulic actuator. The more pressure you have, the more speed you have. They are fine for a mower, but a car? DC electric motors and a generator is better and more reliable, thats why they use them on trains (more power too).
