In your opinion, what are the ultimate period rims that best fit the MKIII style?

I'd kill for a set of these (in street sizes): :evil2:

5-spokes, MOFOs.!!!

honestly though, the MKIII was made for 5 spoke rims..

but for some "Period-correct" rims, here are the ones on my 89..

Keiichi Tsuchiya Modia KS-01's, these are from before they became Kei Office, or even Modex..

16x7 front, 16x8 rear, I love the style but now that I'm turbo, they're way too skinny for me

i agree with the supra being made for the 5 spoke wheel....but i think the period correct BBS wheels look best...although those F40 ferrari knock offs looks pretty dang cool too....

I think there will be a widely-varied response of "ultimate," since everyone's tastes, goals, budgets... well, you know. Here's mine. Always been a fan of the split 5-spoke type wheels.

Personally I feel this thread is trailing off. To me most of the rims are to modern for "period" correct ones.

Here is my submission, not quite a normal Supra, but I allways liked these rims for that "period" look:

Xxr 502 wheels are not PERIOD correct, they came out recently. Period correct wheels for the mk3 means the wheels were in production when the mk3 was in production.[COLOR="Silver"]

Work Equips for sure:)

Nick's version of the Equip wheels are not period correct. They came outwhen the mk3 was out of production.

Is it because of the stepped lip?

Yes....

Now that I think of it, the different wheels that I posted are old school, but may not be period correct for the mk3. I'll have to find out about the production dates of the wheels.

IMO, it only has to *look* period correct. Anything with a smooth lip - like the Works on Nick's car - isn't, as nobody made those back when the Mk3 was new. But I have no complaints with a modern 5 spoke multi-piece wheel running an old school stepped lip.

Not that I have to worry about mine... try to find any information about these, I dare you.
