1:

This is my turbo. Something got in there yesterday and the turbo didn't like it too much. It still spins very freely, no play, works ideally other than that.

My question: Can running this cause further damage to the turbo or damage to any other part of my engine?

2:

Who's the best person to get a hold of for a 57 trim? MDC? Recommendations? I've talked to MDC alot in the past and he seems like the guy to go to...

Ok, the problem with this is really twofold.

First up, something HARD hit those blades to cause the chips. Whatever it was likely turned to rather small pieces, mixed with the chips of turbo compressor wheel, and then was forcefully injected into your engine. There could be damage to your valves, piston bore, and pistons.

Furthermore, your turbo is now effectively unbalanced, which shortens it's life expectancy by a significant amount.

I'd suggest pulling it off, sending it to Aaron, and doing a compression check on your engine while you wait.

You are past the have it inspected stage and have went into the fuct zone. Collect $600 and head directly to driftmotion.

I would pull my entire intercooler piping off at a minimum and look for metal scrap, throughly wash out and repair. you will be very lucky if it hasn't traveled into your engine and screwed something else up.

If you contact JTmaulis, he'll rebuild it, we had a VERY long phone conversation one night about all of the turbo options, the 57trim, his turbos... everything. VERY helpful guy, and treats you like a human rather than just another customer.
