Overkill. The car doesn't need it. Bleh.. then again, I'm not a fan the whole Rally car thing.

Hey.. is that the 2.5L STi? Or a 2.0 rally spec from overseas? They had some TT 2.0s overseas, you know. In fact, some of the Americans were complaining about the STi coming here with a 2.5 instead of the 2.0 rally version.

Displacement what?

Oh. My. God.... is right.

I wonder at what point though, does one or two of the three become a performance hindurance (sp).

Hope nothing breaks.

Well that an application of an old Idea. There are Aircraft engines from WWII era and latter that have used this; mostly radial engines. And its the wave of the future see here http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=103048

i've been wondering for a while if this could be done (well not done) but if it was worthwhile to do. for the reason of not spraying gas, but to use the super to get the low end and while the turbo spools up, some of the Techs i work with said it wouldn't work that way... obviously they were wrong

ok ladies... its called twin charging... our very own Toyota has done it once or twice..its not THAT uncommon... hell some Semi's use it.

most often its used in a machine made for a very specific purpose.. Group B rally cars.. Semi-haulers. Dyno queens (the above example)

its not really that hard..but the plumbing is nightmarish..

google that shit..you'll see

Didn't Arnout (supras.nl) build something similar with a 7M some time ago? Looked quite good, but I don't know if and how the car was actually running.

edit:
Oops, Arnout's compound engine was a 2JZ, not a 7M, and it was going to power a MKII :aigo:
